Driving Tests in the Deepcut area are carried out at Farnborough or Chertsey DTC.

The driving test is straightforward. It is designed to see if you can drive safely, know the Highway Code and can demonstrate this through your driving. Test routes are designed to be as uniform as possible and include a range of typical road and traffic conditions. You will be given directions in good time and asked to carry out set exercises. Driving Lesson Deepcut  The driving test lasts approximately 38 / 40 minutes.

You will be asked to carry out a reversing manoeuvres, they may be one of the following:

• A reverse 2 car lengths on the right
• A drive into a bay then Reverse out

Don’t worry if you forget anything, your instructor will use a drivers record of progress, which keeps a track of all that you have done.

Car control can be a lot to take in at first – it’s all about physical motor reactions, which sometimes require a new range of skills, response times and hand-to-eye co-ordination skills. Even a simple procedure like moving off involves dealing with the clutch, gears, handbrake, indicators and checking the mirrors – it’s like you’re in multitasking overdrive. But don’t worry, your instructor will go over these areas time and time again until you gradually begin to do more on your own.
