Huge congratulations to Cerys from Calne, who has passed her driving test at the DVSA Chippenham Test Centre with just one driver fault — a truly exceptional achievement, and one made all the more impressive by the conditions she faced on the day.
Cerys was taught by instructor Rich Sage here at Blue School of Motoring, and the quality of her preparation really showed when it counted. The test got underway mid-afternoon, which brought with it the added challenge of school run traffic through Chippenham’s busy streets — a test of patience, observation and hazard awareness that many experienced drivers would find demanding. Add to that a spell of light rain and a route that mixed fast open roads with town centre work, and you have a genuinely challenging set of conditions.
Cerys also completed a reverse bay park manoeuvre during the test, executing it cleanly and confidently. Put it all together — the traffic, the rain, the varied route, the manoeuvre — and you have a performance that any new driver would be enormously proud of. One fault. Just one.
